In yet another poll-related violence, the convoy of NPP leaders including State president Dr Andrew Ahoto was reportedly attacked at Thoktsur junction and Pang village in Noklak district on Sunday evening.
In a press note, NPP claimed that miscreants took positions above the road and pelted stones at the convoy. At least five cars in the convoy were hit and several persons were injured. The injured also included officer in-charge of local police station whose official car too was damaged in the attack.
The incident has been reported to authorities and an investigation has been launched to bring the culprits to justice.
