IT&C, Rural Development bid farewell to officers

Directorate of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C) and Rural Development bade farewell to the outgoing officers on Monday.
IT & C bade farewell to principal secretary K D Vizo. Vizo came to Nagaland on deputation from the Department of Telecommunications Government of India and took charge of IT&C in 2014 and will be returning to his parent department after nine years of service to the State.
Speaking at the get-together organized in honour of his services, Vizo said Nagaland as a State was now considered a front runner in the IT sector and the department has won awards both at North East and National levels. He also assured to promote the brand Nagaland wherever he goes.
Director of IT&C, Er. Tongtiliba Longkumer extended best wishes to the outgoing Principal Secretary in his future endeavours.
He also highlighted that the State under Vizo’s leadership has won five awards which include – Computer Society of India (CSI-Nihilent Award 2017) – Best performing state in Northeast Region in e-Governance, Northeast Tech Sabha 2018 – Enterprise application award by Indian Express Group, National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2019 – Nagaland topped Service Delivery in the Northeast and Hill states category, National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2021 – Nagaland topped in State Portal in the Northeast and Hill states category and Indian Express Group & Express Computers 2022 – Nagaland wins on Enterprise Applications’ for innovative best practices in e-Governance. Other officials and staff of the department also spoke on the occasion.
RD: Department of Rural Development organized a farewell programme in respect of outgoing officers- K. Niebou Sekhose and Neizovonuo Neikha as addl directors; Kikrulhounuo Solo as registrar and head driver, Longkham Khiamniungan on April 3 at Conference Hall, directorate of RD. Speaking on the ocassion, commissioner & secretary, RD, Neposo Theluo congratulated the outgoing officials for having served the department for 35 years and said that their contributions and good deeds to the department will be forever cherished and remembered. Director, RD, Azenuo Pienyu also congratulated and wished the retirees good success as they venture in their new phase of life.
Short speeches were also delivered by Toshimongla Kichu, PD, on behalf of PDs and BDOs, Kupto Achumi on behalf of NRDSA, Ayula Longchar on behalf of Establishment branch and Masa, on behalf of grade IV staffs. The retiring officials in return thanked the officers and staffs of RD for the befitting farewell accorded to them and further extended their co-operation in the days to come.
