Tsungiki Village Council (TVC) has vehemently condemned the blatant and irresponsible action where some miscreants burned down the private residence of its chairman, Janthungo Kikon, on May 22.
In a press release, Tsungiki village head GB, Npyingo Kikon and TVC secretary, E Chenithung Kikon described Janthungo as a much respected, honest, responsible and law-abiding member of the village, who has been actively serving the society through various capacities.
TVC said it would not remain a mute spectator and demanded that the law enforcing authority to arrest the culprit(s) at the earliest and award befitting punishment under relevant sections of the law. Failing which, TVC said it would take its “own course of action” and that the law enforcing body would be held solely responsible in case of any eventualities.
