“Shishoi Oshom”-Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF) Cell of district administration Wokha organized a farmer exposure trip to provide hands on training in eco-friendly areca nut leaf plate making for the farmers of Lotsu and Bhandari villages. The event commenced with a ceremonial flag-off by Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari Longdiba L. Sangtam at Bhandari and EAC Aitepyong, P. Pukha Lam flagged off the farmers’ group from Lotsu Village.
The focus was on providing practical skills and knowledge to the agricultural community, coupled with follow-up support under credit and marketing schemes of the government. The farmers were set to undergo hands-on training in the eco-friendly areca nut leaf plate-making process at Dimapur. The initiative was supported by NEC Project dedicated to delivering key identified services at Lotsu Village and Bhandari Block.
