Peren district administration in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Peren under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) have declared four villages under Peren district as “Girl Child Friendly Village”.
According to a DIPR report, the initiative was aimed at promoting village authorities in implementation of women and children centric initiatives of the government.
The certificates of appreciation and declaration to the village councils of Tening Village, Samzuiram Village, Old Puilwa Village and Bongkolong Village was handed over by Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Vineet Kumar on February 7 during Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting.
