One day sensitisation cum training program on “Financial literacy and use of digital tools” was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with Jeevitam for teachers and non-teaching staff members of CBSE affiliated schools of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts on February 7 at Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) Dimapur.


A press release by LFI Dimapur stated that the programme was conducted with an to sensitize teachers and staff members on the basics of financial literacy and use of digital platforms and tools that are relevant in the current scenario.
It said the initiative was part of activities related to Investor Education and Awareness Initiative in terms of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996 which has been undertaken by the CBSE by conducting financial literacy training sessions for CBSE affiliated schools throughout India.


During the session, the resource person focused on some key aspects of day-to-day financial planning and transactions, insurance, investments, banking and also how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds or online scams.
The programme was attended by around 90 teachers and non-teaching staff members.
