Altogether 60,213 students are currently appearing for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Class 11 promotion and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exams, comprising 28,072 male and 32,141 female candidates.
The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) disclosed that 22,136 students – 10,305 male and 11,831 female candidates – were appearing for the HSLC Exam 2024 at 95 examination centres across the state. Simultaneously, 20,166 students – 9,581 male and 10,585 female – were appearing for the Class 11 promotion exams being conducted at 185 examination centres, while 17,911 students – 8,186 male and 9,725 female – were appearing for the ongoing HSSLC exam. Out of the 22,136 students who had registered for the HSLC examination, 21,687 of them have been categorised as main students, and 449 under the compartmental category.
Similarly, in the HSSLC examination, out of the 17,911 enrolled students, 17,638 have been classified as main students, while 274 were compartmental. Further, out of the total enrolled candidates for the HSSLC exam, 14,319 students were in Arts, 970 in Commerce, and 2,622 in Science streams, with examinations being conducted across 68 centres. One invigilator has been assigned for every 20 students, with an additional invigilator for each additional group of 100 examinees.
