A one day farmers’ training-cum-input distribution programme was held on February 20 at Mhainamtsi village, Peren. At the training, Dr Akumla longchar, Scientist (Plant breeding) deliberated on the topic “package and practices of pigeon pea” followed by “role of legumes and importance of nipping on pigeonpea” was explained by Dr. Lawrence Kithan, Scientist (Agronomy).
Dr Tinatoly Sema Scientist (Entomology) and Kavi Sumi, Scientist (Plant pathology) discussed on the “Management of diseases and pests of pigeonpea” which was followed by interaction with the farmers. The programme was organized by ICAR-AICRP on pigeonpea, under NEH, NU:SAS, Medziphema campus.
