Tenyimi Students’ Union Mokokchung (TSUM) celebrated its 25th anniversary at Town Hall Mokokchung on Saturday. The event was held under the theme “Embracing Diversity, Shaping Futures”, with advisor of Taxes & CAWD, Kudecho Khamo as chief guest.
In his speech, Khamo, who also happened to be the first president of TSUM expressed his pleasure to be a part of the auspicious day and reminisced the time the TSUM took shape in 1998.
He wished that the Tenyimi community continue to be a blessing and a backbone to the Naga unity and torch bearers of Naga cause.
Khamo also spoke on the peace and unity, and called upon the students to be responsible as they will be the leaders of tomorrow.
He also called upon all to be the contributors, continue to be driving force in making a stronger and a progressive society. Khamo also released the jubilee souvenir
Earlier, keynote address was delivered by N. Albert Khizho, advisor TSUM, while Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji shared greetings. A special prayer for the TSUM was offered by Teyalo Sep, pastor Tenyimi Church Mokokchung. The program also witnessed the presentation of special song by Etwapeule Nza and jubilee song was presented by the Clark Theological College Choir.
