A one-day training cum interaction programme on kharif crops and livestock was organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima on March 21 at Botsa Village. A press release by KVK Kohima stated that the main objective of the interaction programme was to exchange views and experiences directly with the farmers on different problems in agriculture and allied sectors.
Topics on integrated farming system for enhancing livelihoods and citrus rejuvenation were imparted through visual mode presentation during the first part of the technical session.
Animal health care, timely vaccination and routine deworming in livestock and integrated pest management on kharif crops were discussed during interaction, and advisories on kharif crops and livestock were also provided. The resource persons were ACTO (animal science), Dr. Paihem Michui, and SMS (plant protection), Eliseni Tsopoe. Altogether, 25 farmers attended the programme.
