NSCN (I-M) Sümi region prohibits

NSCN/GPRN Sümi Region has informed that, with deep concern for the people of Sümi region, it has initiated the following “action-plan” to be implemented across the region. In a press release, NSCN/GPRN MIP said the Sümi Region has prohibited transporting and selling of alcohol, drugs substances such as sunflower, cough syrup, ganja and banned gutka; prohibited procurement of unregistered vehicles, vehicles without any valid documents.


As the breeding season has arrived, Sümi Region has prohibited hunting, fishing using electrical machines such as dynamos, generators, explosive devices and poisonous chemicals. It has prohibited extraction of minerals from the river belt and burning of jungles.


Further, Sümi Region said that the national workers of the region have to furnish an assignment order from the government before executing the government-assigned duties. Sümi Region warned that failing to comply with the order would invite undesirable consequences as per “Azah” of the NSCN/GPRN.
