Food-safety wing under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare conducted a Food Safety awareness seminar led by Peterson Pongener and Dr. Meguovilie Sachu as resource person along with the team at Khuzama and Viswema Village, on Thursday.
In a press statement, Dr. Meguovilie Sachu informed that the main focus of the seminar was to give a general awareness of food-borne diseases, hygienic conditions, food adulteration, and the importance of reading food labels along with simple tests that can also be tested at home. Iodine testing kits for common salt were also distributed.
