In an effort to prepare for the upcoming monsoon season, the Kohima District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) organized a mass social work event across Kohima Town on Thursday. The initiative aimed to clean and clear all clogged drains in the area to ensure the smooth flow of rainwater.
According to a DIPR report, the event saw the participation of various district offices in Kohima, in collaboration with the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC). Participants, equipped with necessary tools and items, worked to clear the drains and remove blockages. The departments also provided vehicles and machinery for efficient garbage collection and disposal.
