YMCA Nagaland chapter organizes plantation drive

In commemoration of the 180 years of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) Movement, Nagaland Chapter organized a tree plantation event on June 7, at Thahekhu Village, Dimapur.


In a press release from YMCA Dimapur Nagaland media cell stated that during the event, the members of YMCA Dimapur, Nagaland planted tree saplings in and around Thahekhu Village which was led by the YMCA Nagaland President, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema.


The organization is based in Geneva, Switzerland and has more than 64 million members across 120 countries. Since its inception, YMCA has grown rapidly, ultimately becoming a worldwide movement. Local YMCAs deliver projects and services focused on youth development through a wide variety of youth activities, including providing athletic facilities, holding classes for a wide variety of skills, promoting Christianity, and humanitarian work.
