Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem (DAST), with an aim to conserve tradition in the transition of society away from homeland, celebrated Tsüngremmong festival on August 3, at Nagaland Armed Police Camp, Wazirabad.
A press release by DAST informed that to exhibit ancestral tradition and to impart essence of tradition to the younger generations, the celebration involved all age groups, who witnessed cultural and traditional performances.
The release added that primary focus of the celebration was to impart ancestral social practices principally to children and youth, whereby hands on session of traditional practices and cultural values were imparted to the Ao children and Ao in-laws children. The elders also enjoyed tug of war, group dance and folk songs with traditional dish.
