Kulolaw Sumi Settsü Kuposhukulu (KSSK), Akuluto Town Union Dimapur (ATUD) and Kulolau Littami Kuqhakulu have condemned the raid carried out by cadres of Wangtin-led NSCN (R) at the residence of Inakhu Achumi at Dorgajan village on August 8, and the threat to Vikheho Assumi on August 7.

In a condemnation note, KSSK alleged that a group of individuals identified as NSCN-R (W) cadres, forcibly entered the residence of Inakhu Achumi with weapons, instilling fear and trauma among the occupants. Noting that such actions were not only illegal but morally reprehensible and use of weapons to intimidate was utterly unacceptable, KSSK demanded swift justice and those responsible for the “heinous crime be brought to justice without delay”.

Describing the raid as “barbarism and an uncivilized attempt” to harass innocent citizens, ATUD expressed concern over the psychological trauma inflicted on the victims and the broader community. It called upon law enforcement agencies and the ceasefire monitoring board to take serious note of the situation and take appropriate legal action against those responsible, in accordance with the law.

In another condemnation, KLK has expressed discontent and anguish on the actions of Wangtin- led NSCN (R) on August 7, when the group reportedly caused psychological and physical threats to one of its member, Vikheho Assumi, by instilling fear and panic among his children and family.

KLK said such actions were harmful when various stakeholders, both above and underground, were striving to bridge gaps and unify the Naga community. The organization described the incident as “immature and untoward” and called upon all parties and factions to refrain from engaging in “illegal and fear-mongering activities”, cautioning that such behavior could jeopardize mutual trust and cooperation within the community.
