Nchangram Lun FC thrashed Ngaulong NYO FC 3-0 to regain top spot with 10 points in the ongoing Peren District Football League (PDFL) while Jalukie Falcons FC climbed to second with a 7-2 win over Kuki FC.
The league is organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) in collaboration with New Jalukie Super League (NSL) at New Jalukie Village local ground. In the first match, Nchangram Lun FC drew the first blood in the 23rd minutes when Nisede Peseyie converted a brilliant assist from Wikedatlu. Peseyie doubled the scoreline after intercepting a pin point pass from Thangkhalen.
The domination of the game was put to rest when Poulinlung scored the third goal from another brilliant assist from Winamthiu in the 76 minutes. Ngaulong NYO FC despite their repeated efforts failed to make a breakthrough in a rain battered match. “Khamlou Man of the Match” was awarded to Nisede of Nchangram Lun FC.
In the second match, Jalukie Falcons FC thrashed Kuki FC 7 – 2 to climb to the second spot with 9 points. Kuki FC took the lead early when Henkhohao found the back of the net through a header from a free kick by Seiminthang.
The resilient Jalukie Falcons FC fought back to equalise in the 22nd minutes when Toka Achumi’s header found the net. Rhitso Mero made it 2-0 in the 25 minutes. Toka Achumi then doubled his score after a brilliant free kick was met through a header. The fourth goal was scored by Awang, when his cross was misjudged by the rival keeper.
Rhitso Mero then converted an assist cross from Ilungrai to make it 5-1. The 6th goal was scored by Ilungrai. Ilungrai then sealed the victory with powerful volley in the dying minute of the game. Kuki FC scored a late goal in 81st minute by Lunggouhao through a spotkick. “Khamlou Man of the Match” was awarded to Toka Achumi of Jalukie Falcons FC.
