The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has convened a meeting on August 28 at 11 a.m. in the State Banquet Hall, Kohima.
In a circular, parliamentary affairs minister & PAC member secretary KG Kenye has invited the two MPs, all 60 legislators of the 14th NLA, the political consultative committee members of NDPP, BJP, NCP, NPP, LJP (RV), NPF, RPI (A) JD(U) and INC to attend the meeting positively.
Meanwhile, the three-day monsoon session of the Assembly will begin on Tuesday, during which the liquor prohibition law is likely to be revisited. The house will also discuss the repeal of the communitisation programme in the power sector.
