Speaking to Nagaland Post, UEW Dimapur Division SDO V. Shikato Shohe confirmed that pothole repairs were in progress at key locations, including Clock Tower, Bata Charali, flyover, railway station route, Half Nagarjan junction. Shohe disclosed that while no specific funds have been received for the repairs, the division is managing the works on its own.
He said that the repair works, which began from first week of September, were being carried out at night to minimize traffic disruptions. He, however, said that rain and vehicular movement have slowed the progress. Shohe assured the public that the department is working to complete the repairs as quickly as possible.
Regarding the severely deteriorated Tajen Ao road to DC Court junction, Shohe disclosed that a proposal for fresh road construction, from DC Court Jn via Tajen Ao Road to Hotel Tragopan, has been submitted to the state government.
