The three-day sporting event of the 2nd Inter-Departmental tournament of Mokokchung District concluded at Indoor Badminton Stadium, Mokokchung on October 5, 2024 with School Education Department lifting the overall championship trophy.
Gracing the concluding programme as the special guest, Chubayangla, Ret. Principal Fazl Ali College and member Mokokchung District Pensioner Association, in her address, appreciated the organizers for successfully conducting such an event with limited resources.
According to DIPR report, she said that such kind of events provides an opportunity for the government employees to relax from their mundane work and can provide better service to the community.
She said that in a departmental setup certain communication gap might come up between officers and subordinates, but such kind of events bring about better understanding. At the same time, she said it builds coordination between departments which will eventually benefit the citizen of the district.
She also mentioned that during such events one need to realize to take care of their physical and mental well-being. At the closing function, short speech was delivered by Superintendent of Police Mokokchung Vesupra Kezo while tournament report was presented by PWD (R&B) Mokokchung Executive Engineer and organizing committee member Er. Toshikaba. Vote of thanks was proposed by Divisional Forest Officer Mokokchung and organizing committee member Dr. Sentitula.
The programme was chaired by AUDO Mokokchung Rovinuo Kehie while a special song was presented by student of Soul House Academy, Mokokchung. Pastor Lemching, Konyak Baptist Church, Mokokchung gave the invocation.
