Team Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has achieved a remarkable milestone, securing a total of 53 medals, including 27 gold, 18 silver, and 8 bronze, at the recently concluded AITWPF 12th National Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Championship 2024.
The championship was held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, from October 3 to 6. This victory marks a historic achievement for Nagas in the disciplines of Belt and MAS Wrestling.
Team NWA’s outstanding performance secured them the 2nd position in the overall championship rankings.
Their success across both Belt and MAS Wrestling categories signifies the team’s growing dominance on the national stage. The NWA team is expected to return to Nagaland on October 10, where they will be welcomed in Dimapur.
