An essay competition on the theme of “Unity in Diversity” was organized by 11 Battalion Assam Rifles in Zunheboto, under the leadership of Assistant Commandant N.S. Meitei.
Meitei in his speech emphasized the need for equality and mutual respect, pointing out that these principles were crucial for fostering unity and integrity among individuals from different caste, creed, and race.
He encouraged youth to consider joining Indian Army, outlining plans for training camps aimed at preparing youth for career in the armed forces.
He said these camps would offer written exam coaching, physical training, and educational to aspiring candidates.
He also articulated that serving in the Indian Armed Forces embodies essence of national identity, transcending barriers of color, religion, caste, or race.
In conclusion, Meitei inspired participants with the slogan, “From many colors, one bright light; together we shine, together we’re right”, and urged youth to focus on their future prospects rather than solely on agricultural endeavors, emphasizing the importance of education and career development.
