The golden jubilee celebration of Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) kicked off on November 1 with a dedication prayer for Jubilee program led by Catechist Neikholie Mor. The milestone event, marking five decades of youth unity and community spirit will take place from December 17 to 21, 2024 at Kiruphema ground.

The celebration will feature a wide array of traditional wrestling, games and athletic events, with eight peer groups and over 700 participants competing.
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse.

The closing ceremony will be graced by Dzüvi-u Zhünyü, president of the Western Angami ‘D’ Public Organisation and former KYO president.

As a tribute to the landmark occasion, the jubilee theme song, “A Kekhrie Kiruphera,” composed by Kedovitha Hesielie, was recently launched. Additionally, a traditional seating area known as “Badze” was inaugurated, symbolically brought to life by all the 13 living presidents of KYO.
