A one-day national level seminar on “Harnessing AI Opportunities for Women” sponsored by National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi was organised by Tetso College on October 29.
The seminar “Harnessing AI opportunities for Women” aimed to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and women’s empowerment, focusing on how AI innovations could improve women’s lives.
Keynote speaker, Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW), chairperson, W. Nginyeih Konyak highlighted the importance of AI, emphasizing the need for awareness and knowledge in its applications, as well as addressing concerns about security and why harnessing AI was important for women.
The seminar witnessed a series of seven sessions on various topics such as opportunities and threats; Integrating AI opportunities for Women engaged in remote work or freelancing delivered by Asst Dean School of Computer Science, IT & NIELIT, Asst. professor, Dept. Of Computer Science, Tetso College, Talinungsang.
Session II on Digital Literacy was delivered by department of Information Technology NU, Prof. Sujata Das, Session III on Generative AI for personalized Learning and course available to enhance the usage of AI and Session VII on Empowering the Next Generation by Asst. Professor, department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University, Assam, Dr. Tribikram Pradhan, Session IV on Application of AI across professions by Asst. Professor department of Information Technology, NU, Dr. H.Rohen Singh, Session V Biomedical Image Analysis by Asst. prof NIT Nagaland, Dr. Neelima Arambam and Session VI on Cyber Security by Asst. Professor Tetso College, department of Computer science Tetso College, Nepoleon Keisham.
About 302 attendees, including professionals, students, church leaders, policymakers, NGO members, homemakers, and women from various backgrounds attended that seminar.
