The Sumi Baptist Church in Zunheboto celebrated its annual Advent Christmas on December 1, with a special performance by the Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) Choir.
The festive event began with the lighting of the Christmas tree by Dr. Hutton Sumi, followed by performances from child sensation Tonani Obedto Chishi, the SBCZ Choir, and a heartfelt exhortation by Akukau Hetoho S. Zhimomi, President of Sumi Kukami Hoho.
Sumi Baptist Church, one of the largest and architecturally significant churches in Asia, was filled with enthusiastic attendees who were treated to an enchanting performance by the NCM Choir, conducted by Music Maestro Lipokmar Tzudir.
The concert left the audience in awe, with many expressing that it was “truly a performance to inspire and cherish a lifetime.” The Nagaland Conservatory of Music will next perform, alongside the Nagaland String Orchestra, on December 18 at the NCM campus in Darogapathar.
