MTTS for Mathematics undergraduate students

    DIMAPUR: Department of Mathematics, Kohima Science College Jotsoma (KSCJ), in collaboration with MTTS Trust, organized a two day MTTS (Mathematics Training and Talent Search)

    Overture Programme for Mathematics undergraduate students, on November 29 and 30 at the College, with Associate Professor, KSCJ, Dr. Jane Roseline Yimchunger, as the coordinator.
    A press release by KSCJ informed that resource persons for the program were Prof. Bhaba Kumar Sarma from IIT Guwahati and Dr. Nabajit Talukdar from Cotton University.

    The objective of the programme was to provide participants a taste of MTTS classroom and to initiate MTTS way of learning among the students.
    The resource persons exposed students to learning Mathematics through group discussion, book reading methods, sources to obtain appropriate video lectures for various Mathematics topics etc.


    Students were also given insights on critical thinking and analytical skills for better understanding of the subject.
    The training programme was attended by 50 undergraduate students from Kohima Science College and Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), research scholars and faculty of Mathematics Department of KSCJ.
