The 52nd Games & Sports session of Khulazu Basa Youth Organization commenced on Wednesday at Khulazu Basa ground under Phek district.
The inaugural event was graced by secretary CEB, Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Rukuzo Khamo, as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Khamo asserted that youth represent the most dynamic and the most important stage in life. In this, he urged upon the youth to prepare well to succeed in life.
Youth life is energetic, curiosity, risk taking, adventurous, he said and urged upon the youth exercise smart and positive mindset.
He also told the youth to develop a positive mental attitude for a vibrant society. Also asking them to be sincere and committed in the affairs sports and education, Khamo maintained that societal progress lies in the hands of the dedicated youth.
The inaugural session was led by KYO president Khriesaciiyi Khamo while KYO advisor Ziivehii Rhakho delivered welcome address.
The meet which will continue till December 21, will be marked by football, volleyball, basketball, track and field events.
Meanwhile, secretary VDB, Khulazu Basa village, Neshuyi Rhakho, will be the guest of honour at the closing ceremony.
