East Dimapur Town Council notifies on disposal of waste

To ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain cleanliness, East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has informed the general public within East Dimapur Town to obtain sanitation receipt from EDTC Office, Purana Bazar for waste management prior to wedding parties, social functions and similar events
According to EDTC, the move was to coordinate waste collection, avoid illegal dumping and uphold public health and environmental standards.
The council further warned that any illegal dumping of waste found under EDTC jurisdiction by individuals/event organizers will be penalized and action will be taken as per the law.
