District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Kohima held the monthly meeting at the DPDB Hall on January 15, 2025 with its chairman Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, MLA, and vice- chairman, Kumar Ramnikant, Deputy Commissioner Kohima.
At the meeting, DC, Ramnikant reviewed the minutes of the previous DPDB meeting and welcomed three new board members, including Superintendent of Police Kohima, Teisovise Metha. He also emphasized the importance of staff attendance of Kohima district offices at the upcoming Republic Day celebration.
Addressing the agenda, Rhutso spoke on the need for construction of the Link Road at JNV Yakouke, Kohima, citing the requirement for proper security fencing of the JNV as the current footpath traverses the school premises. The Board agreed to forward the proposal for further action.
He urged district officers to present both challenges and success stories in their departmental PowerPoint presentations during DPDB meetings.
Er. Obed Natso, Executive Engineer of the Water Resource Department (WRD), Kohima Division, delivered a detailed presentation on the department activities.
Meanwhile, Kohima Municipal Council has been assigned to deliver its presentation at the next DPDB meeting.
