Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) organised a rally at Congress Bhavan in Kohima on Monday as part of the ongoing “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan”, which aimed to honour Dr BR Ambedkar and uphold the values of the Constitution of India.

Speaking on the occasion, NPCC president and Lok Sabha member S Supongmeren Jamir said the rally was organised to strongly oppose the BJP’s stand against Dr BR Ambedkar, father of the constitution, and the party’s alleged attempts to undermine the constitution.
He reiterated the Congress’s commitment to protecting constitutional values and ensuring justice and equality for all.

Also addressing the rally, NPCC working president Khriedi Theunuo expressed concern that the BJP’s actions were eroding the constitutional values and tarnishing the legacy of leaders like Dr BR Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi.

He stressed that a nation like India could not do justice to rights and aspirations of the people without the constitution, highlighting the significance of constitutional principles in preserving the country’s unity and democracy.
