Naga Hoho (NH) has urged all Naga political groups (NPGs) and civil society organisations (CSO) to “come together” for an amicable political solution at the earliest. This was among the five-point resolution adopted during the Naga Hoho executive meeting held at Chümoukedima on January 27.
NH through its media cell informed that crucial resolutions adopted were aimed at addressing most pressing issues and promoting the well-being of the Naga people. NH affirmed its stand for “Sovereignty and Self-determination”, saying it was the “heart and soul” of the Naga people. Therefore, NH said any NPGs or CSOs, individual had natural rights to declare it publicly.
NH also affirmed that Nagas were one people wherever they were, which it maintained was not by circumstances but by blood. Therefore, the hoho affirmed that it “resolutely” stood for the whole Nagas.
NH also urged Government of India that all the competencies or common draft based on within the principles of the two mutually agreed agreements– “Framework Agreement” with the NSCN (I-M) and “Agreed Position” inked with the Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups must be made accessible to facilitate thorough and comprehensive discussion to accelerate Naga solution at the earliest.
Reiterating its statement that “2025 must be a year of Naga political solution”, the hoho, therefore, appealed to the negotiating parties to expedite Naga solution.
