The 12th edition of Nagaland Veteran Football Tournament is scheduled to conduct from February 11 – 14 at Jalukie, Peren district to be hosted by Peren District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA) under the aegis of Nagaland Veteran Football Association.
According to a DIPR report, advisor for Youth Resources and Sports Govt. of Nagaland, S Keoshu Yimkhiung, will grace the inaugural function as special guest, while general secretary Tenyimi Union Nagaland Dr. Tumda Newme, will grace the closing ceremony as the guest of honor.
Altogether, six teams consisting of Kohima, Dimapur, Niuland, Mokokchung, Mon and Peren districts will vie for the coveted title of the championship. Cash prize for the champion, cunner up and semi-finalists will be Rs. 50,000/-, 30,000/- and 10,000/- (each for semi-finalist) respectively.
The organizing committee requested all the participating teams to get registered by 4 PM, after which Team coach & manager clinic will be conducted at 5 PM onwards. Lodging and foods will be provided by the host including mattress for the participants.
Further, all the participants have been requested to bring their own bedding and basic accessories. The Peren District Veteran Football Association warmly welcomes all well-wishers to support and witness the events.
