BMW Group India has joined a wave of automakers announcing price increases, revealing plans to raise prices by up to 3% across its BMW and MINI car range. The revised pricing will take effect on April 1, 2025; however, the company has not disclosed which specific models will see the highest increases. This adjustment follows a common industry trend as manufacturers respond to ongoing economic pressures.

The latest price hike is attributed to rising input costs, particularly due to higher material expenses affecting the automotive sector. This adjustment will impact both luxury sedans and SUVs within BMW’s lineup, including models produced locally in India. Typically, automakers revise vehicle prices biannually, and BMW’s decision reflects a broader pattern among various car brands facing similar financial challenges.

In light of the price increases, BMW India continues to emphasize customer support through its financial services. Offering programs such as Smart Finance, the company provides attractive monthly installments, reduced interest rates for selected models, assured buy-back options, and flexible end-of-term benefits to help customers manage their purchases.

Earlier in the day, Renault India also announced a price increase of up to 2% for all car models starting in April 2025, citing rising production costs as the driving factor behind this decision. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Renault India’s Country CEO and MD, acknowledged the challenges of maintaining stable prices while facing continuous increases in input costs, underscoring the necessity of this price adjustment.
