Nagaland SDG Action Awards 2025 invites applications

The Sustainable Development Goals Coordination Centre (SDGCC), under the Department of Planning & Transformation, Government of Nagaland, has launched the second edition of the Nagaland SDG Action Awards – 2025. This initiative aims to spotlight individuals and organizations making significant strides in promoting sustainable development across the state.

According to a DIPR report, the awards recognize efforts that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and foster innovative and impactful projects driving progress in economic, social, and environmental spheres.


Award Categories: Economic Sustainability – Celebrating projects addressing poverty, livelihoods, and industrial innovation aligned with SDGs 1, 2, 3, 8, & 9.
Social Development – Honoring contributions to education, healthcare, gender equality, and social well-being under SDGs 4, 5, 10, 11, 16 & 17.

Environmental Sustainability – Recognizing efforts in ecosystem conservation, biodiversity protection, and waste management tied to SDGs 6, 7, 12, 13 & 15.
Award Benefits: One winner from each category will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, along with a certificate of recognition and an award memento.


The awards are open to individuals, institutions, private enterprises, academia, community-based organizations, NGOs, and civil society organizations that contributed significantly to the SDGs during 2023 and 2024.

Candidates may self-nominate or nominate others for their outstanding work. Applications can be submitted at bit.ly/SDGActionAwards2025.
