Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has accused chief minister Dr Neiphiu Rio of reducing the cabinet decision regarding regularisation of 147 assistant professors to a “joke” by taking shelter under a committee constituted by it, which it described as an added insult to the aspirants seeking justice.
The NPCC in a press release said it was dismayed by the statement of the chief minister made during his visit to Mokokchung that the revocation order for regularisation of 147 assistant professors was based on the
interim report of the High Powered Committee (HPC), and that the final decision would be taken only after the HPC’s final report was received.
The Congress reminded the chief minister that heading an opposition-less government did not entitle him to keep shifting the goalposts and make a mockery of having a cabinet meeting without being serious about the decisions taken.
