In a touching tribute to his late mother, Janben Khuvung, a taxi driver on the Wokha-to-Kohima route, provided free rides to mothers on Mother’s Day. The gesture also marked the fifth death anniversary of his mother, late Lankono Khuvung.
Janben was inspired by his mother’s kindness and wanted to help those who struggle with transportation, giving them a chance to visit loved ones or attend Mother’s Day events. His initiative honored not only his mother’s memory but also celebrated the contributions of all mothers.
Eight passengers took advantage of the free service and expressed gratitude for his thoughtful gesture. Janben also thanked the All Nagaland Taxi Wokha Unit for their guidance and support in making his idea a reality.
