East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has directed all residential and commercial construction within its jurisdiction to first obtain an official construction permit from the EDTC office before commencing.
The directive has been issued to uphold urban planning regulations, safety standards, and orderly development. A 15-day grace period has been granted for individuals and developers to secure permits for ongoing or upcoming projects.
EDTC informed that non-compliance could result in penalties, construction halts, or legal action. Therefore, all stakeholders have been asked to adhere to municipal laws and complete the necessary formalities. For further details or assistance, residents have been advised to visit the EDTC office during working hours.
