Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is set to visit the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, on May 15. He will inaugurate the Administrative-cum-Academic Block and Farmers Fair 2025, a DIPR report stated.
The event will also be attended by Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and deputy chief minister T.R. Zeliang. Ahead of the visit, a joint coordination meeting of government offices in Jalukie Sub-Division was held on May 13 at DB’s Court, ADC Office, chaired by ADC Jalukie, Albert Ezung. He briefed officials about the upcoming ministerial visit and urged them to ensure smooth coordination.
During the meeting, officials discussed concerns about government land encroachment in the sub-division. Several department heads reported unauthorized occupation of land meant for official purposes.
ADC Albert emphasized that government officers must safeguard their department’s properties and directed departments without proper land documentation to secure necessary permits. He also urged officials to report encroachment cases to the district administration.
In his closing remarks, ADC Albert stressed the importance of regular attendance and dedicated public service, stating that officials should minimize inconvenience for residents.
