15 WRESTLERS FROM NAGALAND TO BE PART OF INDIAN CONTINGENT
In view of the forthcoming Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championship scheduled at Delhi from 21 to 26 May 2025, the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) with 15 wrestlers will be part of Indian contingent out of 24 slot in the senior category of the championship including both male and female, where intensive coaching camp for the NWA wrestlers is underway on Wednesday at IG Stadium Multipurpose Hall “B”.
In a press release, NWA informed that the camp will go on till the departure to Delhi. Meanwhile, a short dedicatory programme for the camp was organized on Wednesday with Pastor, Angami Christian Revival Church Council (ACRCC) Mission Centre, Kohima, Rev. Vilakiezo Yano, exhorting the wrestlers and invoked God’s blessing for the camping and all future proceedings.
As per the reliable sources, approximately 30 nations including few countries from Europe and African continents are expected to be part of the championship where Naga Wrestling is expected to be introduced during the championship and therefore NWA appealed the Nagas to uphold their wrestlers in prayer.
The team NWA is expected to leave for Delhi on May 19 and return back on May 26.
