Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRCL) conducted one day orientation program on May 16, for prospective project implementing agencies for roll out of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0, at Hotel de Oriental Grand, Kohima.
A press release by NSRLM Kohima, stated that delivering the key note, Addl Secretary & Mission Director, Imtimenla, highlighted the need for reliable organizations to come forward to implement the programme, and emphasized that it is not just mere business for skilling and placement but a compassionate attitude for rural poor which was pertinent for successful implementation of the program.
She also encouraged participants to enroll for permanent registration number (PRN) with Ministry of Rural Development which is a pre-requisite to submit project application and expressed hope that organizations would become eligible to make concerted effort of addressing unemployment issues of the state.
The release added that Chief Operating Officer-Skills, Menuoneituo Chadi, highlighted experience of DDUGKY1.0 and shared expectations for DDU GKY 2.0. He also urged participating prospective partners to be prompt with their PRN registration and submit proposals based on expression of interest already floated by NSRLM as time bound yearly target need to be achieved.
The event witnessed participation from 22 organizations. Technical sessions were conducted by officials from the Central Technical Support Agency, NABCONS, Raja Mithelesh and Bittu Kumar Jha.
