NFA calls to mark AFC ‘Grassroots Football Day’

The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has extended an open invitation to all District Football Associations (FAs), football clubs and academies, schools, educational institutions, and all stakeholders to join in celebrating the AFC Grassroots Football Day on May 23, in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
NFA senior vice president & AIFF Grassroots Committee member Kiyeka S. Sumi and NFA joint secretary (Adm.) Chenonlo Woch highlighted that this year’s celebration would focus not only on promoting grassroots football but also on advancing environmental responsibility under the theme “Football for the Goals.”
The theme aligns football activities with climate action and sustainable development, encouraging players, institutions, and communities to contribute to a greener future while promoting the beautiful game.
NFA said that branding materials and activity guidelines for both AFC Grassroots Football Day and Football for the Goals are available within the Pre-Event Form link: https://forms.gle/gQfBVtUc16gVpteJ9.
All participating institutions are requested to confirm their involvement by completing the pre-event form and to send photographs and video documentation of their respective events to nagalandfa@gmail.com, to help in compiling a collective impact report of the celebrations.
