Around 10,080 capsules of banned drugs Spasmo Proxyvon which was valued at Rs. 1.8 lakhs in the open market was seized jointly by the personnel of GRPS and RPF Friday night from Dimapur Railway Station Platform No.2.
According to OC, GRPS, Salie Nagi, the seizure was made based on information from sources that the banned drugs would be brought to Dimapur from Delhi.
He also said that the accused identified as Atomba (24), son of Ahmed Ali of Kshetrigao Awang Leikai, Imphal East, Manipur, alighted from Brahmaputra Mail from Delhi at Dimapur railway station with the consignment concealed in his baggage which was wrapped in a sack. Police said that a case has been registered and further investigation was on.
