Produced by Moayimti Baptist Church (MBC) in aid of its Church building construction, a DVD video of an open air concert held at MBC was released Friday by Tir YimYim editor K Temjen Jamir at the residence of Rev C Walu Walling, former education literature secretary ABAM at Lingrijan.
Dwelling on church and its physical edifice, Jamir maintained that construction of church buildings becomes significant because it not only brings believers together and strengthens the congregation through the unity of work, but it also beautify the area with such consecrated landmark structure.
Stating that Nagaland church should not forget their foremost calling as a mission ministry – to reach the unreached people through the gospel of Christ, Jamir said the church body should never compromise with their mission work by spending all resources in the construction of mighty church buildings.
Jamir also maintained that church should give equal importance to construction of proper Sunday schools for children, the same as that accorded to construction of main church buildings.
Lamenting that many a churches has been known to devote on construction of the main building for the congregation while utterly sidelining the building for Sunday schools, Jamir put forth a reminder that spiritual edification of children through Sunday schools is the most important aspect of a church. “If we neglect them now, we will see an empty church in the future,” he added.
Artistes contributing to the DVD video include Wati, Saku, Lima from Samaro, Aienla Jathy, L Akumba Tzüdi, Chuba Longchar, Yanger Tzüdi and comedian Purneken and Chujang.
