PSU bans hunting, collection of flora

In order to preserve the flora and fauna, the Porbami Students’ Union (PSU) has banned all kinds of hunting and collections of flora in certain reserved forest areas including Vanbu, Nisonizou, Shuwho, Wutio and Muthotu.
PSU general secretary, Rukuvo Sakhamo, in a press release stated that violation of the said order would invite a penalty of Rs.5000 or more at the same time added that a “standing student” volunteers would be deputed in different pockets of the said reserved forest area to keep vigil on movement of persons.
It further appealed to all the citizens particularly the neighbouring villages and towns to cooperate with the order.
