Hundreds benefited through KROS College free medical camp

More than 350 people benefited from the free medical camp organized by Health Committee, KROS College, in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP). The camp targeted residents of Leirie and Leirie Chazu areas, with an aim to create greater understanding about modern lifestyle diseases and fitness in the emirate. The free initiative, held at KROS College Campus, featured doctors from various clinic and healthcare professionals from PHC.  The health camp initiative is yet another endeavor to play an active and meaningful role in the community and create better understanding of chronic and lifestyle-related diseases among the residents. Earlier in the inaugural programme, lecturer i/c Health Committee, KROS College, Keliihol Tase chaired the programme, district nodal officer, NTCP , Dr. Arenla Walling gave powerpoint presentation causes and harmful effects of tobacco.
