Seyochung Village Government Employees’ Union Kiphire District (SVGEUKD) as part of its social services, carried out a cleanliness drive at Kiphire cemetery on August 29, where 76 members of the union took part in the drive.
A press note by SVGEUKD president Daniel Sechopi Sangtam and general secretary K. Alipa Sangtam stated that the Kiphire cemetery located at Kipongya ward due to negligence had been overgrown with bushes and weeds. In this regard, the union had taken the initiative to clear the jungle voluntarily. The union also appeal all concerned stakeholders, wards/town council to take initiative to keep the cemetery properly maintained.
