The Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) held its 2nd federal assembly at City Law College Dimapur (CLCD) on July 11, hosted by City Law College Students’ Union (CLCSU).
A joint press release by NLSF speaker, Nungshimeren Jamir and deputy speaker, Innakhu Assumi stated that, the federal assembly resolved to appeal to the government once again for setting up of a Government Law College in the state on priority. NLSF stated that it has been more than 20 years that the federation had been demanding a Government Law College.
NLSF also asked for a separate department at NU, which had already been conveyed by Governor to the university vice-chancellor. The federation therefore said it expects that department would be set up by next year. The assembly was chaired by speaker Nungshimeren Jamir.
