
Along with the nation, District Health Agency Longleng launched its district level Ayushman Bharat- National Health Protection Mission/Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-NHPM/PMJAY) on September 23, at the DC’s Video Conferencing Hall, officially launched by the DC, John Tsulise Sangtam.
A press release from DIPR said that, John Tsulise in his speech spoke about the aim of the scheme which it is to improve access to quality healthcare and to reduce expenditure on hospitalization thereby protecting beneficiary families belonging to poor and lower sections of the society. The DC also requested everyone to give correct information and details while registering for the AB-NHPM/PMJAY.
The DC later distributed the Golden Records (e-cards) to the beneficiaries.
CMO Dr. Kongyan Phom, in his short speech, thanked the Prime Minister for this scheme created for the benefit of the weaker sections of society. He also said that the benefit is cashless and paperless and can be availed from any of the empanelled public or private hospitals across the country. The program was attended by staff from the Medical Department, Administration, Phomla Hoichem and ward chairmen. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. T. Satuo, senior medical officer, District Hospital Longleng.
The program was chaired by Dr Wannau Phom, district nodal officer (AB-NHPM) District Hospital Longleng.
