Sao Chang College (SCC) Tuensang, Nagaland conducted its 48th Fresher’s Day under the theme “Facing Forward” at the college multipurpose hall on March 26.
A press release by SCC media cell stated that, chief speaker SCC assistant professor, Akyuba Sangtam asked the students to identify their own abilities and potentials to live a purposeful life. He also encouraged the students to work hard and excel in their studies and to leave a good impact in the college and society.
Earlier, the programme was divided into two sessions. The first session was chaired by Yongkong Sipong. C. Chang of Ba-4th Semester, invocation pronounced by E.U vice president Pangphi and welcome address was delivered by SCCSU general secretary, Daniel Chang. Meanwhile, the second session was hosted by Niamkoi Khiam, B.Sc-4th semester and Somba, B.Sc-6th semester.
Further, assistant Professor, Dekhingpila Sangtam prayed for the freshers, short speech on behalf of the freshers was delivered by Chongkikejong Chang of B.Sc-2nd semester, vote of thanks by SCCSU assistant general secretary, Puthso and benediction was pronounced by Changlemba Chang of BA-4th semester.
The event saw a huge participation by the student’s community of SCC whereby Tonenchila. Y. Chang and Pangphi. T. Khiamniungan were adjudged the winners of Miss & Mr. Freshers of Sao Chang College respectively.
