India Biodiversity Awards 2023: NSBB calls for applications

Nagaland State Biodiversity Board (NSBB) has called for applications for interested individuals, organisations or Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) for the India Biodiversity Awards 2023.

NSBB has informed that the applications may be submitted under the following categories: Conservation & Sustainable Use of Biological Resources; Best Biodiversity Management Committee; Incentivizing Access & Benefit Sharing and Best Peoples’ Biodiversity Register. It may be mentioned that the India Biodiversity Award is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), National Biodiversity Authority and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

It is an innovative mechanism to identify and recognise champions of biodiversity conservation in India. Nagaland bagged the prestigious award in one or more categories in the year 2018 and 2021.
